Hello again Chartmetric users! This month we have a lot of exciting product updates that we rolled out. As we head into the holiday season, we transitioned to our new Spotify charts and improved our TikTok variant tracking. We also launched a new video learning series and expanded capabilities on the dashboard and artist audience page. Without further delay, let's jump in!
In the artist audience section click on a mini chart to view how that artist tracks with fans in top locations (city/country). See the effect of recent artist activity on regional metrics across multiple platforms, such as the bump in Brazilian Youtube views corresponding to Adele's release of "Easy on Me".
With Spotify's recent decision to move their charts behind a login wall in early 2022, we saved historical charts (top 50 & 200) under the "legacy" subsection. To ensure continued access to this data, we generated a new set of charts, including top artists/tracks on a weekly, monthly and all-time basis. Choose what metrics you want to order the charts by: listeners, playlist reach, popularity and more. Track your favorite artists as they climb all of the most important Spotify boards!
On our charts page for Line Music (Japan) and Melon (Korea) we added two new features: genre filters for track charts, and a new chart for music videos. See which genres and music videos are making the biggest waves on these important regional platforms: today's local artists may be tomorrow's global ones!
TikTok posts use any combination of sections from a track. In our stats page for tracks we added a dropdown menu to reflect these multiple iterations. Look at the full impact and the historical trajectory for each track variant on this increasingly important platform.
